The Introduction to Funeral Industry Basic Admin/Coordination, offered by Independent Funeral Industry Support Services (IFISS), is a 6-hour intensive session designed to provide a deeper understanding of what the job entails and the personal and professional skills required to succeed.
While we can’t promise you’ll get hired, the knowledge you gain, together with the Certificate of Completion, will be valuable additions to your CV and will allow you to stand out among other candidates.
Participants will require a valid driver’s license, basic literacy and maths skills, plus good communication abilities. You’ll need to be in good physical and mental health, and be genuinely committed and empathetic towards those who are grieving. We seek individuals who can listen attentively, follow directions, and maintain a professional appearance. Staying calm under pressure and being able to multitask are also key skills.
