Thank you to everyone who attended our Recruitment Retention and Resilience Seminar.

In August, we presented our Recruitment Retention and Resilience Seminar. The programme featured presenters from both within and outside the death care industry, offering practical advice on how to build and improve their teams.

And (drumroll please), it was a hit!

With a wonderful community feel and participation, we welcomed attendees from interstate, country Victoria, those already working in the industry, some industry partners and those seeking to enter the death care industry.

With our fantastic presenters, we had open and frank discussions on some difficult topics:

Jaymini Mistry, Think Space Co – How to harness the power of Behavioural Science to create exceptional leaders and thriving businesses.

Karla Sooknandan, WorkFocus presenting alongside Kathy Hodges – supporting your team through the recovery process to return to better health and productivity faster and building Resiliance.

Nikki Constantine, All Hands HR – How to attract, engage, develop and foster a productive team.

Recruiting the right people, giving them proper training, creating a healthy work culture and providing a long and stable career are challenging enough for any business. As industry veterans, the team at Independent Funeral Industry Support Services (IFISS) is ideally qualified to present this special session exploring key principles for resilience in our industry.

We’re happy to deliver programs interstate for your funeral home and put together sessions for industry as a whole both within Victoria and interstate. If you’re interested in fostering longevity in the death care industry please send your Expression of Interest to [email protected].

And don’t forget about our FDA and Hearse Driver Course. This two-day course is ideal for both those in the funeral industry with employers wanting to upskill new recruits and those looking to become part of the profession. With only a couple of spots left, make sure you sign up by Wednesday 4th October. Click here to book
