For professionals in the deathcare industry, empathy isn’t just a skill—it’s the core of what we do. We walk alongside families during their most difficult moments, offering kindness and compassion through long hours and emotionally demanding situations. This constant exposure to grief can take a significant toll, making the emotional demands of the job incredibly challenging. It’s a role that requires immense dedication, yet it often leaves little room for you to process your own feelings or address burnout.

At Independent Funeral Industry Support Services (IFISS), we sincerely appreciate the vital work our industry peers do. However, we also recognise that for all of us to continue making a difference in the lives of others, it is essential that industry workers prioritise their own well-being. This is why we created the course: Understanding Grief in the Workplace & Building Resilience. It’s an opportunity to step back, recharge, and gain the support needed to reignite employee enthusiasm and ensure longevity in this industry.
